Al-Wefaq Blasts Manama’s Silence On ICC Arrest Warrants For Netanyahu & Gallant

The Bahraini opposition has condemned the Manama regime’s refusal to welcome the decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to formally issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Netanyahu and Gallant have been accused of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Several Arab and European states have welcomed the court’s arrest warrants.

However, Manama has remained silent, drawing criticism from the opposition Al-Wefaq group.

Al-Wefaq said the Bahraini government “remains outside the international context of justice and fairness, through its biased silence towards the entity [Israel] and its criminals, which is a position closer to expressing rejection of the court’s decision than accepting it.”
